Physiotherapists help people affected by injury, illness or disability through manual therapy, taping, soft tissue massage, muscle strengthening exercises, functional movement training, exercise, movement education, home exercise programme and advice. Helping people of all ages manage pain, stay at work and move better.

Physiotherapy is a science-based profession and takes a ‘whole person’ approach to healthcare and well being. We consider the way the body moves and treat conditions affecting movement, be it by pain, poor control, instability or through neurological mechanisms. We aim to restore full function where possible and prevent re-injury. You can benefit from physiotherapy at any time of your life

Physios use their in-depth knowledge of how the body works, combined with hands-on clinical skills, to assess, diagnose and treat your symptoms. They can even help you prevent many injuries and health conditions. A multitude of treatment options are available and could be used in isolation or together to restore harmony.

McKenzie method (Click here for more information)

It has been widely used all over the world for more than 30 years. MDT is a philosophy of active patient involvement and education that is trusted and used by clinicians and patients all over the world for back, neck and extremity problems. This approach continues to be one of the most researched physical therapy based methods available.

Mulligans Concept (Click here for more information)
The Mulligan Concept of Mobilisation with Movement (MWM) is a unique manual therapy treatment approach combining mobilisation with active movement or function. Fundamentally a patient’s pain, restriction or functional loss is eliminated when appropriate mobilisation forces are applied during movement. First developed by Brian Mulligan ONZM, F.N.Z.S.P. (Hon), Dip. M.T., in Wellington, New Zealand, this simple yet effective manual approach has been taught internationally since 1984.

Dry needling (Chick here for more information)
An effective treatment for myofascial pain, trigger point dry needling (TDN) uses the stimulation of trigger points with fine filament needles to reduce muscular pain and dysfunction. Dry needling is now used to effectively treat acute and chronic orthopaedic and musculoskeletal conditions.

Neural manipulation (Click here for more information)
Examines mechanical relationships between the cranium/spine hard frame to the dura and neural elements. It provides assessment and treatment approaches to address restrictions of the dural and neural components not commonly focused on with musculoskeletal symptoms. Neural Manipulation identifies and releases local nerve restrictions while at the same time examines the effect these local fixations have on the rest of the body, and by accessing this relationship, resolves the more comprehensive (global) dysfunctional patterns.
Visceral manipulation (Click here for more information)
Is based on the specific placement of soft manual forces to encourage the normal mobility, tone and motion of the viscera and their connective tissues. These gentle manipulations can potentially improve the functioning of individual organs, the systems the organs function within, and the structural integrity of the entire body.
